Funding Partners for MARC
We remain grateful to the organizations that have partnered with us to create MARC Custom Medical Products. We truly believe that MCMP is the strongest social-economic manufacturing projects of its kind in North Carolina and quite possibly nationwide. It is our hope that this model of commercial viability for social good will be replicated in other communities and regions across our state.
The funding partnerships listed below are true partners in our success.
As we approach the third developmental year our MCMP initiative we have the benefit of two years of historical progress. Looking back, visions and goals are being achieved, plants have enlarged and remodeled, new equipment is in place and running, some as much as two shifts a day, letters of support from prospective customers have changed into purchase orders, and 259 people have either had their jobs saved or are now new employees in a MARC facility. More than 100 people with disabilities now have full time work with benefits. At a minimum, our funding partners are achieving over 4:1 leverage on their investment in this project.
Going forward however is where the work is; there is much to be done: We have a million dollars to raise, 91 more jobs to create, three plant renovations to complete, equipment to purchase, quality systems to continuously improve upon, and a strong customer base to grow.
